Yash Raj Films is apparently planning to show the first look trailer of New York with the Shahrukh's biggie. This movie happens to be another one of their anticipated movies that star John Abraham and Katrina Kaif.

New York is set in the Big Apple and is a story about friendships and romance. It's the story of three friends who are living in peace and harmony but known to them lurks a danger that will threaten the very essence of their friendship.

Recently, Bollywood Actors Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan have been getting along like a house on fire while shooting together for Vipul Shah's London Dreams. While the two actors had earlier starred together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, it was only after they signed their latest film that they started bonding on the film's sets.

But more than Salman and Ajay, it is the former's girlfriend Katrina who is benefitting the most from this newfound friendship. Consequently, Katrina has now signed Ajay Devgan's home production to be directed by Rohit Shetty.

Our source from the unit of London Dreams said, "Earlier, Ajay and Salman had worked with Bhansali but they were not close friends. However, they got along famously during the London and Chandigarh schedule of London Dreams. After discovering that they quite enjoy each other's company, they started hanging out together after pack up every day. Often, they were spotted smoking together in between shots"

According to our source, Ajay and Salman Khan often played pranks on the film's sets too. During the London schedule, they would also drink together in the evenings after pack up. Interestingly, when Salman Khan stopped drinking during the Chandigarh schedule, he was often overheard telling Ajay about the ill-effects of drinking. What further impressed Ajay was that Salman Khan completely abstained from alcohol even though it was bitterly cold in Chandigarh.

However Salman is not interested in Zarine and rarely talks to her, “Often Zarine pulls up a chair to sit near Salman Khan but he does not pay attention. Katrina Kaif has specially flown to Chandigarh to be with boyfriend Salman Khan where he is shooting for London Dreams with Ajay Devgan and Asin.

A source says, “Of course, why else would she fly off to Chandigarh on the day when Asin is scheduled to shoot there?”

The source adds, “Asin started shooting on Monday when Katrina too reached the sets to accompany Salman. Katrina is expected to stay there for a short period.”

After a short, two day shoot for De Dhana Dhan on 1 and 2 February, she flies to Bhopal for Prakash Jha's Rajniti. From 12 February to mid March, Katrina resumes her final shooting schedule for Raj Kumar Santoshi.

Despite the rumours of their impending split which never seems to happen, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are going steady as ever.

Early this week, Salman Khan shot for the Katrina Kaif starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani . Ironically, rumours recently alleged that it was while shooting this very film that Katrina was getting attracted to her male co-star Ranbir Kapoor .

But there was no tension on Salman Khan’s face as he shot for the Rajkumar Santoshi -directed film recently. Salman has only a guest appearance in the movie.

In fact, so comfortable was Salman Khan on the sets that after his shots were canned he chose to hang around and be with ladylove Katrina Kaif for a few more hours. The love birds were spotted chatting and nibbling away together on snacks.

too admits to taking advice from Kareena since last year on having a healthy body. Says Katrina, "We had great fun at Amu's party. Bebo is very sweet and supportive of me. She is my inspiration on how to have a fab, healthy body. It all started last year when I got injured on the sets of De Dhana Dhan and suffered a blood infection. The whole illness left me feeling tired and drained. I was also having over 1500 mg worth of antibiotics so I could recover faster. When I went home to London for Christmas, I was listless and lethargic and could hardly move around."

After her antibiotics ran out (on December 31), Katrina decided to do something about getting a fitter body.

"I hired a trainer who'd help me tone my body, started eating food sent by micro-biologist Sonali Sabharwal and also called up Kareena to help me out. Kareena inspires me. She was more than kind and gave me tips on how to have a healthier body."

Kat also got herself a trainer. "I started training under Yasmin Karachiwala. Now I work out regularly for at least an hour every day. My trainer also accompanies me to my outdoor shoots. It's not about losing weight but doing exercises that make me fitter. I do cardio, functional training which doesn't focus on one part of the body part or weights, and sometimes mix strength training with cardio."

Food for Katrina has also become simplified today. "I have stopped eating chicken completely. I have food from Sonali's. The best thing about the food is that the menus are different every day so one doesn't get bored. It's healthy and gives energy. Currently, I'm shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani and take the food with me. I can't eat unit food." Read

Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan are set to star in two films together: Sanjay’s Gadhvi’s romantic movie set in Paris and Dibakar Banerjee next, which also stars Abhay Deol.

Katrina and Imran will be participating in workshops before shooting for Gadhvi’s film starts in Paris in order to develop better chemistry on screen, which is essential considering their film is and out-and-out love story and is pegged on the camaraderie between them.

Both Katrina and Imran will be devoting ample time for rehearsals.

“I'm lucky to have a lead pair that is so committed to creating a new language for screen lovers. That Imran and Katrina look so good together is a bonus. I'm counting on them to look as striking as Ash and Hrithik in Dhoom 2," said Gadhvi.

"This is a different love story. I want to take the screen romance beyond ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’. Imran and Katrina occupy almost every frame in the film. It's the story of these two strangers who meet and fall in love in Paris over a week," he added.

"I'd be shooting in familiar places and unknown lanes and streets. I think Katrina and Imran will create a new language for love," said Gadhvi.

Incidentally, her British accent, which she has worked on correcting for Hindi films, helped her get this film as the character in Dibakar Banerjee’s film is of mixed parentage and needed to have an accent.

He adds, “Kareena calls Akshay a dog and in turn he calls her a bitch. Apart from this scene, there is also a line indicating that women are only meant for making love. I found that very inappropriate, because in a promo you can’t understand the context of the scene as we have not yet seen the film.”

Two-film-old Ranbir Kapoor should be feeling quite proud of himself. The young actor’s latest film has a budget which exceeds Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s next film by 18 crores. Ranbir’s Wake Up Sid as well as Saif and Kareena Kapoor’s Jehaad are both being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

WAKE Up Sid is a romance set in Mumbai revolving around a good looking young man (Ranbir Kapoor) who falls for an older, simple woman (Konkona Sen Sharma), who is a writer from Kolkata. A source from the production team says, “The film’s budget was initially 80 crores but due to the recent market condition, it was reduced to 60 crores. Hopefully, the film will release in October this year.”

As for Renzil D'Silva’s Jehaad, starring Saif and Kareena, a source says that it has an estimated budget of 42 crores. The source adds, “The film, based on terrorism, revolves around an Indian woman (Kareena Kapoor) who marries and moves to the US. Later, she finds out that her husband is a part of a terrorist group. It will release this year.”

The news is surprising as Saif and Kareena are considered the hottest pair in Bollywood right now and they are the most expensive brand as a couple. In addition to this, Saif has appeared in 50 films and Ranbir’s cousin, Kareena, has done 38 films. But Dharma Productions doesn’t seem to think these are good enough reasons to splurge on Jehaad’s budget.

Now that Kareena Kapoor is finally going to be part of Saif Ali Khan’s production plans no stone is being left unturned to ensure her presence is justified in the Khan-produced venture.

Apparently in the beginning the leading lady’s role in Agent Vinod was relatively less substantial than Saif’s.

Says a source, “In fact Kareena wasn’t sure she wanted to do Agent Vinod because the title clearly indicated whom the film belonged to. But Saif convinced Kareena that her role would be on a par with his. Then he convinced Sriram with whom Saif has a deep rapport since they did Ek Hasina Thi together to make sure Kareena’s presence in the film is justified.”

Quiz Kareena about this, and she laughs, “Do you think I’d agree to be part of the film if my role was not as exciting as Saif? I mean, can you imagine what would happen? Saif and I will be smouldering-hot in Agent Vinod. Even the posters will be designed to highlight us as the coolest hot pair.”

Clearly, after Rensil d’Silva’s terrorist drama in which Saif and Kareena look and act very real the pair is in no mood to get into the authentic space once again.

But here’s where the problem sets in. While Kareena and Saif are looking to do a high-gloss big-budget espionage thriller director Sriram Raghavan is looking at making a gritty life-like spy drama.

Says Raghavan, “I grew up watching those really filmy spy films like Farz, Aankhen, Yakeen and of course the Rajshris’ Agent Vinod. I’ve been fascinated by the genre. However times have changed and so have definitions of espionage. My film will occupy a more real space.”

He admits his spy drama will be more in the mood of Mani Shankar’s recent Mukhbir than the old Agent Vinod . At the same time Raghavan admits the high budget of the new-age Agent Vinod forbids any over experimentation, “I’ve never worked on this kind of a budget before. And I can’t afford to be experimental. The market has to be kept in mind. So there will be music and songs. But no lip sync songs.”

With Saif wanting to be Tom Cruise and Kareena looking as hot as Nicole Kidman in his arms Sriram Raghavan could be heading for more excitement than he bargained for when he starts shooting in July.

Dressing up Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh was the most fabulous experience of her career and she is floored by their humility, says Indian celebrity designer Shabina Khan.

"It was fabulous designing for Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh (of 'Superman' fame). It was my finest experience. They are professionals and did whatever I asked them to do. Apart from designing for them, what I learnt from them was how to be humble. Both of them are extremely down to earth," Khan told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

Stallone and Routh are making special appearances in producer Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kambhakkt Ishq", a film about an Indian stuntman who takes Hollywood by storm but cannot find true love.

"As both of them were playing themselves in the film, what I had kept in my mind while designing for them was how people dress up in Hollywood. Since most were action sequences, I gave them more of cargos, hoodies (T-shirts with hoods) and tight T-shirts," she said.

Directed by debutant Sabbir Khan, the film has Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. Akshay plays Routh's body double in the actioner.

Shabina Khan also designed Akshay's clothes and said the filmmaker didn't want anything "conventional" for him.

"The director wanted a macho look for Akshay but not the 'ganjis' and tight T-shirts. So I created a new trendy look for him. I gave him tight cargos, waistcoats, boots and scarves," she explained.

Starting in 1988, Khan has worked as a designer for more than 30 films, including "Hum Aapke Hain Koun?", "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".

"I started designing for Salman Khan initially. Both of us were in the same college. I designed for him for 13 years," said Khan who has also dressed stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit.

She considers Akshay Kumar & Kareena Kapoor the best dressed Bollywood celebrities.

"Anything and everything looks good on Akshay. He has a perfect body and a perfect face. He can carry anything off. Kareena is very versatile. Whether it's Indian or Western she can carry both with elan and look stunning," she said.

Khan's forthcoming projects are Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Chenab Gandhi", Vipul Shah's "Action Replay", Sajid Nadiadwala's "Housefull" and Priyadarshan's "De Dhana Dhan" among which two are period films.

"'Chenab Gandhi' is a period film. Since 'Action Replay' starring Akshay and Aishwarya (Rai) is set in the 1970s, I consider that a period film as well," she said.

"It is extremely difficult to design for a period film. You have to be accurate with your homework because if you miss anything, you'll completely mess up. Therefore, at the pre-production level, a lot has to be done,"

Currently in New York shooting for Rensil d’Silva’s untitled film (not called Jehad) Vivek has endeared himself to the film’s other principal leads Saif and Kareena, and not just because they share camera space so comfortably, but because he was directly instrumental in getting them an impromptu holiday in New York, ahead of the holiday that they have planned after the schedule in New York.

It so happened that Vivek had plenty of solo scenes which apparently Oberoi suggested to the director be shot all in a bunch so that Saif ali Khan and Kareena could take time off.

Resultantly Saif and Kareena ended up with two full empty days in New York.

Laughs Kareena from New York, “Yeah, Saif ali Khan and I got a two-day break in the middle of our hectic schedule because Vivek’s scenes are being shot. Saif ali Khan and I just chilled out, saw some films, ate at our favourite restaurant. It was an unexpected treat. Thanks to Vivek.”

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is set to croon a song for the Bollywood multi-starrer Blue .

And guess to whose tune she would sing? It’s none other than maestro A R Rahman .

Reportedly, Kylie will reach India by January 2009 to record the song. And if reports are to be believed, the lady is charging a staggering amount of Rs five crores, i.e. $1 million for it.

The ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ singer, Minogue was not the first choice for this song. In fact, according to sources, Madonna and the popular R&B singer Rihanna were on the wish list of the film’s producers for the song, but nothing worked out and finally Minogue was approached.

‘Blue’ boasts of an impressive ensemble of stars like Akshay Kumar , Sanjay Dutt , Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif . Kylie will also shoot the song’s music video, according to a source.

Nine Winds, which is in charge of film’s communications, has officially declared that they in talks with an international artist and are about to finish the negotiations.

The budget of ‘Blue’ is already touching the sky with Rs 130 crore already poured into its making, while the movie’s last leg of shoot is yet to be completed.

Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor is busy earning moolah with films and endorsements, but has realized that her fast paced life has started affecting her family life.

A source says, “Kareena Kapoor feels sad about staying away from her family for so long.”

Apparently Bebo was so depressed and homesick, that elder sister Karisma received her from their building’s compound.

Suddenly everyone has realised the importance and the worth of this form, which is really good. It is great for the body and if a good combination of yoga and other exercises are adopted, the results are great," she said.

Power yoga includes strenuous exercises and this trend started during the mid-1990s. The who's who of Bollywood now boast of having adopted the method to acquire a perfect figure.

"I am completely into yoga. I think yoga has changed my life. My morning yoga practice that I do for an hour-and-a-half every day is something that keeps me going," said Kareena, whose toned body and size zero became the talk of the town.

"The day I don't do it, I feel that my day doesn't go well and I haven't completed a task that I had to do," she added.

Shilpa, who has one of the best bodies in Hindi filmdom, is into yoga in a big way and even brought out a CD called "Shilpa's Yoga", which was released in June 2008.

Yoga keeps my mind, body and soul fit. I had a neck problem and suffered from chronic spondylitis. So I started practicing yoga. I took professional training and it really benefited," the actress told IANS.

"I don't believe in starving myself to remain thin. I eat well, work out and practise yoga to remain healthy. If you want to get peace for the mind, body and soul, yoga is the only answer," she added.

While young actresses have opted for power yoga, yesteryear beauties like Hema Malini and Rekha stick to the traditional yoga form and maintain that the practice has helped them maintain their charisma and keeps health problems at bay.

"Apart from dancing, one thing that I swear by is yoga. That's the secret of my fitness," Hema Malini had said.

Getting inspired by the well-toned frames and sculpted bodies of our cine stars, health-conscious Indians too are embracing yoga in a big way.

"I have been gymming for the past two years, but somehow didn't get the desired results. Then I came to know that most people from the film world are making yoga a part of their fitness regimes and getting desirable bodies. So I also took to yoga and do it regularly," Pallavi Dasgupta, a 22-year-old MBA student, told IANS.

Even yoga instructors are getting lucrative deals in terms of increased clientele.

Emraan played a painter in the thriller "Raaz - The Mystery Continues" and he will once again essay the role in "Tum Miley". But Emraan Hashmi (pictured left) will this time get to actually paint to look convincing on screen.

"This time I actually paint. In 'Raaz', I wasn't really able to do much of that. All the paintings were done beforehand and I didn't get a chance to paint on screen apart from a few strokes," Emraan told IANS.

In "Tum Miley", Emran's newly-discovered painting skills will go a lot further.

"I'm shown to be a far more intricate painter, doing not just brush painting but also charcoal, etc. Here I can't fake it. I'm using all the skills that I learnt as a painter in 'Raaz' for 'Tum Miley'," the actor explained.

Emraan says he now seriously intends to pursue his painting.

"And my character in 'Tum Miley' is helping me do that. It's my first intense love story," he said.

The film is based on the deluge in Mumbai on July 26, 2005. All the scenes depicting the coming together of the leading lady and him during the deluge were shot in one go on a studio set.

Asked if there were any kissing scenes in the film, he said: "It's my first film with Soha Ali Khan. Do I kiss her? Let that be a secret. I consciously moved away from the serial kisser's image in 'Raaz 2'. I don't want to be known for something so frivolous. I want to move on."

The actor seems to have moved on from filmmakers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt in "Tum Miley", which has been directed Kunal Deshmukh of "Jannat" fame.
